Summoner (Extra Job)

The Summoner is an Extra Job, a job that must be quested for upon reaching level 30 before it becomes available to your character. As such, you will have a good working knowledge of the FF XI world by the time you are ready to attempt the Summoner Quest (see below for information on the Summoner Quest).

Switching to the Summoner job for the first time (just like switching to any other job for the first time) means that you start at level 1 in the job.

The Summoner

Summoners are the masters of summoning powerful elemental monsters / spirits / gods. The Summoner has only a small assortment of summoning spells, but each spell grows with the Summoner, becoming more powerful as they do.

Summoners are not good at hand-to-hand combat, but as they can call upon the elemental spirits to annihilate their foes, this is usually not a problem.

Summoner Quest (Enable Summoner as Extra Job)
Location: Windurst Walls (G3)
Key NPC: Ajido-Marujido
Procedure:

• Talk to Ajido-Marujido (G3)
• Go and fight ANY kind of leeches. They will eventually drop a stone item (Only if you are Lv30+ though, and the drop ratio is 1% for the stone).
• Investigate the door of "House of the Hero" in Windurst Walls with the stone in your inventory.
• Take the stone to experience 7 weather conditions. You will need Pleasant, Earth, Water, Fire, Lighting, Wind, and Ice. You do not actually have to see the element, you just have to have the weather effect on the map.

• When you have all 7 DO NOT go back to Windurst, instead head over to La Theine Plateau's stone circle (G6).
• Trade the stone to the ???
• Quest finished - you can now become a Summoner (along with the summon Carbuncle) at your Mog House!
